About Us

The Town and Country Garden Club of West St. Tammany Parish, LA was organized in 1960 and federated in 1963.  The goal of the club is to promote a greater interest in gardening for the community, to acquire a wider knowledge of flowers, their arrangement, and their culture, and to participate in the activities of the National Garden Clubs, Inc.  For their 2011-2012 theme, the Club chose "Let's Get Growing" to show their commitment to preserving and beautifying their environment. Made up of 35 members and several honorees, members pledge "to protect and conserve the natural resources of the planet earth and promise to promote education so they may become caretakers of our air, water, forest, land, and wild life."  The Town and Country Garden Club is a member of the Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc. and the Deep South Region of the National Garden Clubs Inc.
